Patent--d Nov. 9, 1926. 1 6065157 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE. WALTER JAY ENNISSON, OF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK. PARLOR BA,'3E]3ALL GAME. Application filed December 211921. Serial No. 519,474. This inventioi-i relates to baseball game devices and outfits and is in thp, nature of an improvement upon the gameboafd aiid outfit described I and claimed in my first Patent No. 1,155,'714. In the game-board and outfit of my said patent I utilized a spinning or indica-ting cievice by which the batting, running and ball - plays are determined, the result being 10 largely a matter of chande and providing little opportunity for the display of skill. Two indicatino- points or lines were used aiid ii-I was foliiid that the pl,,tyers frequently confLised these poiilts or lines -with the result 15 that the gan-ie did not proceed in tl-ie logical -,ti,icl real order, causing tl-ie pl,,tyers to lose interest. The indicator of said patent was also provided with different. sets of running and ball n-Limbers one set used by the rtiiri20 iiers aiid the other set. by the other active pl,tyers and inasmuel'i as the col'itestants e alternatel the rtiiiners alid the other ,tr y active players, there was always confusion ,is to -whicli set were to be used in aiiy inance. 25 St In said gaiaie-board outfit I provided colored buttods to represent the players of the te.iiiis which rnerely rested upoii the board. It was 'Lound that the buttons -were fre30 q-Lileiitly jarred from the positions iil whicli they were pl,,tced, especially when t-he boa,,-d was held in the laps of the contestants, with the resul+@ that considerable col'ifusion ai'l@l iiiicert-ainty arose. The contestaiits also fre8,5 qtientl@, colifused the runnei@s and the basemei-i with one' another by forgetting the color they ivere using at that particular time, ,ind moved the wrong buttons, which rest, ilted in such an oxtent of uncer'uainty that 40 -.i restart was frequently necessary. An object of th6 present invention is to provide aii improved spiiiner or indicator for del@-ei-minin-o@ the battiii runniii(y and 91 ball pla3,s iii -N@Iiieh considerable sl3:ifl and 45 l@niowledge of the game can be exerciseld, in -which the rocedure more nearly a proxip p n'lates aettial laying rules aiid actions, and p wh;lch is exceedingly simple. and inexpensive. so A further object is to provide an iniproved garae constructioii in which the likelihood of confusion of the ruliners and ba-semen is elimiiiated; in which accidental or - unintentional movemeiit of the ball and players is practically impossible; and generally to iii@- 5,5 prove and sirnplify the (yame device of my prior, patent a.nd @enderthe playing of the gaine iiiore realistic. Other objects and advantages will be apparent from the following description hnd co the novel features of the invention @will be particula.@ly pointed out in claims. A chain of six 80 statiol'is b surrounds each base, over which ch@,tin the basemen are shifted in inaking thleir pla-37s in a manner determiiied by an ilidicator or spliiner. Th@'ball position stations c at the home plate, the batter's box d, 85 the catcher@s chain of six stations I e the pitcher's box of @four statioils the three umpi e statioiis r (7, the runner' s 't- on af the six chain st@tions of the @e=' ' positio ns h@ i and j, and the' six chain stations 90 of the short stop position, are provided with sra all holes, to receive small positioning pins or pegs k upon the bottoms of miniature pla yer@ 1, m and n.
