  • The hackathon is open to citizens of the Russian Federation and other countries around the world, aged 18 or older (specific restrictions may apply depending on the chosen task – check the task page for details);
  • It's an online competition, so you can participate from anywhere in the world;
  • For the first time, participants can present their solutions and pitch in English (restrictions may apply depending on the chosen task – check the task page for details);
    • To participate:
    • Register on the competition’s website;
    • Create a team of 2 to 5 people or join an existing team;
    • Submit a team application, choosing one of the assigned tasks to solve;
    • If you don't have a team, use the convenient interface in your personal account or chat to find teammates, or contact the competition moderators for assistance.
  • We welcome participants with diverse skillsets, including front-end developers, back-end developers, full-stack developers, web developers, UX/UI designers, product managers, project managers, data scientists, data engineers, analysts, and other specialists interested in creating solutions for cities or businesses.
  • Compete for the prestigious Moscow Mayor's Prize of 1,000,000 rubles, along with exciting partner-sponsored souvenirs and prizes;
  • Assemble a team and develop an innovative solution aimed at improving the urban environment or benefiting large businesses;
  • Present your ideas to a panel of esteemed experts from the Moscow Government or leading corporations;
  • Enhance your technical and soft skills through participation and collaboration with diverse talents;
  • Network with like-minded individuals and join a vibrant community of specialists from Russia and beyond.

Participants will need to register, submit a team application, develop and upload a solution for one of the 20 presented tasks, defend it before experts, and find out who the best was at the festival.

  • June 28 – September 17, 2025: Participant registration.
    Before this moment, registration of ready-made teams or the объединение of individual participants into teams takes place;
  • September 18 – October 2, 2025: Hackathon and solution development phase by participants;
    • Access to technical specifications and datasets for tasks opens on September 18 for teams that have selected a task and submitted a team application;
    • After receiving the technical specifications, meetups will be held where experts will elaborate on the tasks, and registered teams will be able to ask their questions; Until October 2, participants can change the task for the final solution on the platform (as long as they have not submitted an application with solution fields). October 3 – October 14, 2025: Technical expert review and selection of finalists (10 teams per task). The selection takes place on the platform by scoring each team according to pre-defined criteria.
  • October 15 – 16: Preparation of recommendations for finalists.
  • October 17 – 22, 2025: Finalists refine solutions based on recommendations.
  • October 23 – 24, 2025: Finalist pitch sessions and selection of winners (3 teams per task).
  • October 25 – 26, 2025: LCT.Fest and awards ceremony.
